A proposito di questo titolo

That’s What She Said: Stories that change us. Hearing another woman’s story changed my life. Now, I’m passing it on. That’s What She Said is a podcast about the quiet power of sharing our truth. Each episode features a conversation with an extraordinary woman - not because she’s famous, but because she’s real. From navigating late ADHD diagnosis, to recovering from burnout, to starting over after loss, these are stories of strength, struggle, vulnerability and joy. This is a space for honesty. For the things we don’t always say out loud. For the stories that remind us we’re not alone - and that change often starts with just one voice. Because when women speak up, things start to shift.Copyright 2025 All rights reserved. Igiene e vita sana Psicologia Psicologia e salute mentale
  • Never Be Less: Recovery, Courage and Breaking Stigma - with Gemma Oaten
    Feb 16 2026

Actor, presenter and SEED CEO Gemma Oaten joins me to share her remarkable story of recovery and her mission to break the stigma around eating disorders. After losing 13 years of her life to illness and surviving multiple near-death experiences, Gemma rebuilt her career and her confidence, landing a role in Emmerdale and later stepping up to lead SEED, the charity founded by her parents.

In this powerful conversation, Gemma opens up about being told to “be less,” how she learned to back herself, and why kindness and early intervention matter more than confrontation. Together, she and e explore the myths that surround eating disorders, the vital role families and carers play, and how workplaces can move beyond awareness to real, inclusive support.

This episode is a reminder that recovery is possible, stigma can be challenged, and you deserve not just to survive - but to thrive.

  • Grief up close - with Bella Chater
    Dec 19 2025

In this episode, I sit down with EFT practitioner Bella Chater for an honest conversation about losing our mums far too soon.

We talk about what it’s really like to care for someone at the end of their life, the strange peace of a final goodbye, and how grief shows up in waves on the most ordinary days.

We also explore the realities of grief at work - how to check in with someone, why choice matters when it comes to time off, and the very real admin that follows a death.

I share parts of my own story, including the pull toward numbing and one of the best analogies I’ve ever heard for grief - the “ball in the box.” Bella explains EFT tapping, how it helps calm the nervous system, and how she’s used it to release painful memories.

We also touch on key dates, opting out of Mother’s Day emails, the surprising physical changes grief can bring, and the small rituals that help us stay connected to those we’ve lost.

It’s a tender and practical conversation about how to live (and lead) alongside loss, both at home and at work.
