I want to speak from the heart and be transparent about who I really am. For so long, I felt the need to hide certain parts of myself, to fit into expectations or to protect my vulnerability. But today, I choose to be open.

I have so much to show the world and i feel like everyone has tainted my picture of me. I have strengths I am proud of, and flaws I continue to work on. I have dreams that drive me and fears that sometimes hold me back, but I am learning to embrace every part of myself.

This is me—honest, unfiltered, and ready to live life as my true self. I choose to share my journey openly, because I believe that authenticity invites connection, acceptance, and freedom.

In Episode 3 of That’s Pretty Messed Up!, Adrianna continues sharing her journey after reporting her sexual assault. Believing she was finally getting answers, she instead found herself receiving different explanations from different people. As conversations with the District Attorney’s Office and her advocate unfolded, she learned that one of the reasons her case was reportedly declined centered around the wording of her original statement—something she says was never explained to her directly by the DA’s Office. When she shared that with her advocate, her advocate was shocked, believing Adrianna had already been told.

This episode explores the confusion, frustration, and emotional impact of trying to understand a process that often felt inconsistent. Adrianna also discusses trauma responses, including the reality that many survivors freeze during an assault, and reflects on the questions that still remain.

Listener discretion is advised. If you or someone you know has experienced sexual violence, resources for support are included at the end of this episode.

This episode is the hardest one I’ve ever recorded.

I’m sharing my story of surviving sexual assault and what happened after I found the courage to report it. I talk about the investigation, the questions I was left with, the phone calls I made, and why I felt like my case wasn’t handled the way I expected. This is my personal experience and perspective on everything that happened.

If you’ve ever felt unheard, dismissed, or like your voice didn’t matter, I hope this reminds you that you’re not alone. This episode isn’t about revenge—it’s about telling the truth as I lived it, reclaiming my voice, and refusing to stay silent.
