  • Grief Phones, Goats, Jim Morrison, Sam McGee, and The End for Now
    Sep 28 2026

It is the official Termination Dust Season 1 finale and listeners are in for a treat. Together they listen to Linda's childhood toy, a deep cut unearthed from the bowels of community radio on what it means to commit to working and living in Ketchikan, then they expose Linda's winter project "The First Grief Phone in Alaska". They ponder what next season will bring, and Patrick gives a riveting rendition of The Cremation of Sam McGee. It's a hoot. It's a hollar. It's the pfffft heard round the world.

Termination Dust staff invite you to attend the Main Street Gallery on Oct. 2nd 2026, where some of Patrick's other talents will be displayed. Linda would like to mention that this episode artwork is all her (it is actually Linda in 1990).

Leave a review and let us know what you think! Thanks for listening!

  • Disasters! 9/11, Come From Away, Frank Murkowski, and Another Whale is Pregnant.
    Sep 23 2026

This week, Patrick and Linda take a long walk down memory lane to the good ole days of 2001 and presidential visits to Alaska in 1984. Patrick attempts to spread vicious untrue rumors about his co-host, Linda gets a bit deep on the medical assistance in dying work in her past, Patrick finds a fondness for former AK Senator (and Ketchikan-born) Frank Murkowski, and the Termination Dust staff introduce Correction Corner! The Termination Dust staff would also like to say:

    "Thank you, Canada."

  • 5 Easy Pieces, the BioTwang, Pipe Dreams, and the Ketchikan Rainbird Origin Story/Spawn of the North
    Sep 15 2026

And we are back with episode 6, listeners. In this sweeping cinematic, oceanic episode, Patrick brings his best research to the table with two epic film clips, the otherworldly song of the Bryde's whale is contrasted with youthful vocal fry, and we finally answer Patrick's burning question - what is the Ketchikan Rain Bird and what the heck does Henry Fonda have to do with it? Tune in for a fun ride with just a few digressions into how we were taught to impress our parents.
