London, UK, Tennessee US - 18th August 2024

🚀 "We Are Back!" - Tea Rockets and Yanks Returns with a Blast! 🇬🇧 🇺🇸

After a brief hiatus (thanks to some video editing gremlins), the dynamic duo of "Tea Rockets and Yanks" are back with their 14th episode, and they’ve come out swinging. UK businessman and seasoned politician Adam Kent teams up once again with Nashville’s own military wife extraordinaire, Tina Furman, to take on the world’s quirkiest, most pressing, and occasionally baffling issues. Buckle up for a transatlantic ride"

Chapter 1: The Return of the Dynamic Duo (00:00)
The episode kicks off with a cheeky nod to their recent absence, blaming the delay on the lack of video editing (pesky software!). But worry not, because as Adam says, "Pity, you we have lift off, we're back." Tina can't resist teasing Adam about his time zone challenges – “You'd have gone on bloody LA time or Vegas or whatever.” Spoiler alert: this will not be the last time zones are mentioned.

Chapter 2: The State of Politics – Why the World’s Gone Mad (03:10)
Adam and Tina dive into the political turmoil on both sides of the pond. From immigration woes to political corruption, it’s a no-holds-barred discussion on how the UK and US might just be on a mission to out-mad each other. They’re even concerned that the rise of, shall we say, "colorful" governments might be a plot to silence voices like theirs. “The world's gone mad, they're just trying to silence us now," Tina quips.

Chapter 3: From New York’s Crime Surge to the Mysteries of Job Hunting (09:23)
Crime rates are spiking in the Big Apple, and Adam and Tina are worried. As Tina points out, "Defunding the police? Maybe someone should defund the criminals instead." Meanwhile, job hunting in the UK is no walk in the park either, especially when nepotism and corruption run rampant. If you’re job hunting, this segment is a must-listen.

Chapter 4: Meteor Showers, Volcanoes, and Time Zones – Oh My! (23:28)
Time zones might be a headache, but watching meteor showers is pure magic. Tina and Adam reminisce about their celestial experiences and take a fascinating detour to discuss their visits to Mount St. Helens. “Straight across naked eye shooting across the sky, it's great,” Adam recalls, before sharing a fun fact about volcanic rock formations.

Chapter 5: Buzzwords, Work Productivity, and Lazy Twats (35:03)
Ah, the corporate world – where buzzwords abound and productivity often falters. Adam, in his new role in the County Council, is determined to tackle these issues head-on. Tina couldn’t agree more, especially when it comes to setting standards. “Encouraging full-week work,” she says, “isn’t too much to ask, is it?”

Final Thoughts: Volcanic Rocks,

So grab your tea (or rocket fuel), and tune in to the latest episode of "Tea Rockets and Yanks" – because we’re back, baby, and ready to bring you laughter, insight, and the occasional mad rant!
