In this episode of The Rank Podcast, John continues his Sitcom Rankings series with a look at the classic 1978 sitcom Taxi, breaking down Season 3, Episode 12: “Out of Commission.” After suffering another brutal knockout in the boxing ring, Tony Banta’s doctor convinces the state boxing commission to revoke his boxing license, fearing for Tony’s health and safety. Devastated at the thought of losing the sport he loves, Tony refuses to give up and comes up with a reckless plan to continue fighting under a fake name. As Tony secretly prepares for another match, his friends at the cab company grow increasingly worried that his determination and pride could put him in serious danger.
