In this first ever episode of Talking Dallas, I’m joined by the fabulous Deborah Darling – someone who completely reinvented herself in her 50s and isn’t looking back. We talk about confidence, fashion, finding yourself later in life, and how to silence the noise when the internet gets too loud.
Deborah was the very first person I interviewed for Documinute, so it felt only right that she be the first guest on this podcast too. We cover everything from her transformation from “Deborah Chambers” to “Deborah Darling,” how she built a vibrant silver-haired community online, and the life lessons she had to learn the hard way – but now wouldn’t change for the world.
Expect laughter, honesty, a bit of Dallas, and a big dose of inspiration.
Personal note from Tam: My theme for this episode – and probably this whole podcast – is “first, make it exist… then make it good later.” That definitely applies to the audio (just wait 'til you hear where I’m recording from 🙈), but in retrospect, it’s also a perfect reflection of Deborah’s journey: showing up, putting yourself out there, and figuring the rest out as you go.
