It’s FINALLY here. 🏛️🌑

After being postponed for a life update, the Taipei English speech contest, current events, and then a certain host turning TWELVE… we are finally descending into the ROMAN UNDERWORLD!

But was the Roman afterlife really just the Greek Underworld with everyone’s names translated into Latin?

Not exactly.

In this episode of Tales of Olympus, Ariel follows the legendary Trojan hero Aeneas into the realm of the dead as he searches for his father, Anchises. Guided by the mysterious Cumaean Sibyl and carrying the Golden Bough, Aeneas crosses paths with Charon, Cerberus, the tragic Queen Dido, the horrors of Tartarus, the paradise of Elysium, and the strange waters of Lethe.

And then things get even bigger—because deep within the Underworld, Aeneas is shown something no living Roman has seen yet:

the future of Rome itself.

We’ll also explore how Roman beliefs about death differed from Greek mythology, meet spirits like the Manes, Lares, and Lemures!

Grab your Golden Bough.

Keep a coin ready for Charon.

And whatever you do…

don’t wake Cerberus.

I’M TWELVE!!! 🎂

Yep. Somehow, I have officially survived 12 entire years on planet Earth.

So obviously, for my birthday, I postponed the Roman Underworld and decided to talk about a subject even more important than Zeus, Poseidon, Hades, the Trojan War, and the Oracle of Delphi:

ME.

In this birthday special, we’re diving into the Ariel lore—why I’m apparently physically incapable of casually liking anything, what 11-year-old me actually did with her life, which Greek gods probably make up my personality, and what I’m planning (or at least attempting 😅) for Year 12.

I’m also teasing some of the things I’ve been working on, including Apps, YouTube, music, and a few projects that I am absolutely NOT telling you about yet. 👀

But most importantly, this episode is a giant thank-you to everyone who has listened to Tales of Olympus and somehow decided to stick around for the mythology, Percy Jackson references, terrible Zeus decisions, random life updates, and everything else this podcast has become.

Twelve-year-old Ariel is officially here.

Tales of Olympus isn’t going anywhere.

And yes—the Roman Underworld is still coming.

Sorry, Charon.

Happy birthday to me! 🎂🏛️

Sooo… this was supposed to be a life update. Somehow, we ended up talking about Greek mythology, being yourself, the future of Taipei, ancient prophecies, ocean currents, and why an Oracle telling you to “take the MRT” would actually be incredibly unhelpful. Totally normal episode. want you to be. So in this slightly chaotic 14-minute rant, we're talking about finding your own voice, living your own style, why being eleven doesn't mean it's too early to care about the future, what ancient Greek prophecies have to do with modern life, and how one voice can travel from Taipei, to Taiwan, to the world. A Taipei of the World. 🌏 Oh—and somehow ocean currents get involved. Don't ask. Just listen. 🌊 Live your own life. Tell your own story. And most importantly—live your own style.
