• Samantha Siu on jewellery, cultural storytelling and the art of making by hand
    Oct 19 2026

New York based designer Samantha Siu joins Alexandra for a conversation about jewellery as a form of visual storytelling and why craftsmanship matters in a world that can feel increasingly repetitive.

Anything is possible when you take original podcast formats and move beyond the studio, creating space for visual storytelling where people and brands can tell their stories in the moment.

Samantha shares the influences behind her distinctive pieces, her family’s connection to jewellery-making, and the handwork and cultural heritage woven into her designs. They also discuss slow fashion, building a resilient brand after COVID, and the role of community and philanthropy in shaping a creative business.

After presenting her collection at London Fashion Week; Paul Costelloes Spring/Summer 2027, Samantha reflects on making jewellery that people can play with, wear their own way and connect with emotionally.

A conversation about creativity, heritage and the value of human hands in the age of digital transformation.

  • 60 Guests, New Perspectives and What’s Coming Next!
    Oct 5 2026

Autumn is here and Alexandra wanted to come on for a short audio hello and let you know what has been happening behind the scenes at Take A Chance On You.

The last few months have been full-on. Alongside the podcast, she has been networking and exploring international speaking opportunities, working through what the next phase of the podcast could look like.

Alexandra recently attended the British Podcast Awards, a brilliant opportunity to meet people across the podcasting industry and reflect on how much the medium is changing.

Podcasting is no longer only about sitting in a studio and recording a conversation. It is moving into live shows, video, events, activations, partnerships and conversations recorded on the ground.

18 months and 60 guests later, the importance of creating a platform for rising stars and leaders, and why Take A Chance On You continues growing without losing what made it meaningful in the first place.

Thank you for continuing to listen and follow the journey.

What matters to Alexandra is continuing to give rising stars, founders and leaders a platform while also allowing the podcast to grow into something bigger.

Over the next few weeks, Alexandra will be travelling. She will be sharing recaps from previous episodes, along with new conversations and live content from the ground.

Listen to the October hello on Spotify, and let me know what you would like to see from Take A Chance On You over the next year.

  • September Hello: The Next Chapter of Take A Chance On You
    Sep 2 2026

A quick one from me the host Alexandra, no guest, just a welcome back as we head into the final stretch of 2026.

In this episode I reflect on the year so far, say thank you to the community that’s grown with the show over the last 18 months, and share where Take A Chance On You is heading next.

The mindset never changes: a space for founders, entrepreneurs, creatives and young talent to explore their stories.

But we’re opening the floor wider, collaborating with brands across sport, wellbeing, beauty, media and technology to build real narrative and storytelling together.

I talk through wrapping our brand campaign with Axolt Brain (thank you Peter & Martin), why partnership doesn’t end when a campaign does, and the work I’m doing across women’s sport, human performance and talent pathways heading into WWC 2027, because it’s not a talent issue, it’s an access issue!

Here’s to the next few months. Let’s take the chance.

    🎧 Listen now.

  • Learning To Support Yourself: The Journey
    Aug 31 2026

"I haven’t always had the support. I haven’t always had someone in my corner saying you can do this.”

So, Alexandra has learned to give that to herself.

Being a business owner is for the most part a solo journey. Being a leader takes courage and self-reflection.

It can be very lonely at times.

Alexandra spoke about this in her 2024 TEDx Talk: building community around her and what that means in today's hyper technology world.

The shift wasn’t waiting for the loneliness to disappear. It was getting comfortable with it. Learning to be her own advocate.

If you’re walking a solo road right now, building something, betting on yourself, quietly wondering if you can, this one’s for you.

  • The Art of Business: Picking The Right Rooms
    Aug 29 2026

That’s been one of the hardest lessons for Alexandra. When you’re building something, a business, a career, a mission, you have to be selective. Not everyone sees what you see.

And you can’t take everyone with you.It comes down to who you surround yourself with, and the conversations you’re having.

To be at those tables, in those rooms, ready for those conversations, you’ve got to get yourself right, mentally first, then physically.

That’s the work that happens before the room. And when people don’t get it?

You just have to keep reminding yourself: I see it.

  • Feedback Isn’t the Problem - It’s the Ten Seconds After
    Aug 28 2026

Nobody actually likes feedback. Be honest do you?

Alexandra has learn't feedback isn’t the problem. What she does in the ten seconds after receiving it is what counts.

Alexandra believes not running from it, flipping it around instead.

Turning every piece of hard feedback into a development question.

“You’re not good enough at public speaking” becomes: Do I hire a coach? Find a mentor? Get myself in more rooms to practise?

    Preparation and practice are everything.

Because the moment feedback becomes a mission, the self-doubt has nowhere to sit. You’re too busy getting better.

If you’re a lifelong learner, if upskilling is your thing, this one’s for you.

  • Move Your Body, Clean Your Brain Exercise & Sleep Secrets
    Aug 26 2026

A simple, science-backed reminder from this Axolt conversation: start moving, and a lot sorts itself out.

In this clip, Axolt makes the case for movement as the lever you actually control, lower cortisol, better sleep, better blood flow, a brain running at the top of its game, with the lymphatic system clearing toxins as you go.

And a neat reframe: “working out” sounds like a chore, but working while you move?

Not a fitness lecture, just a grounded nudge to focus on what’s in your control.

  • How To Reclaim Your Purpose With Axolt
    Aug 25 2026

How To Reclaim Your Purpose With Axolt: Recap

“I want to leave with a net positive footprint. I believe in humanity, in consciousness, in creating a positive movement. Empowering people, helping them believe in what they can achieve, supporting them to feel better.”

We talked about stress as one of the real barriers and the belief that if you can help one person feel more empowered, it is all worth it.

That mindset shift is important and is how you can build something that outlasts you and measure it in the people you lift up.
