The progress of the Kingdom through the Gospel works itself out in the world a certain way: First comes the Gospel, then conflict, then conquest, and finally peace. God gives life to the new order of the Kingdom while he lets the old order of the world starve and perish as the Gospel spreads throughout the nations.
