Most people are not deceived by the world around them. They are deceived by the picture they assembled of it, and they defend that picture the way people defend things they cannot afford to lose. The confidence that comes from having already decided what is true is one of the most expensive things a person can carry, because it makes looking unnecessary, and looking is the only thing that was ever going to help.

DVN THEREPE is governed by ten directives I call the Alchemist's Law, a seal that has been sitting underneath every chamber, every session, and every offering inside the atelier long before anyone outside of it ever saw it named. With the relaunch of dvntherepe.com, that architecture is finally visible, and this is the first time I am walking anyone through it publicly.

This is Part I of three. Today we are in the Laws of Seeing, three directives that govern perception before action, hearing before response, and earned wisdom before any of it gets passed to someone else. VIDE asks whether you are seeing what is actually there or a story occupying its place. AUDI asks whether you are listening for confirmation or revelation. SAPIENTIA asks what you have actually survived well enough to call wisdom.

These are not principles. They are not affirmations. They are laws, and they hold whether you agree with them or not.
