Dr. Todd Kelson, Chair of the 2026 Annual conference provides a detailed overview of the plans for the conference, taking place in Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada. The conference this year will be offered in overlapping with the International Network for the Science of Team Science. A note that the conference will be later this year, taking place in early May.

Tom Jansen is an active member of the TBLC, Chair of the Marketing Committee, part of Membership and the Steering Committee. He is a certified Trainer Consultant and a certified professional in talent development. He had a long career using Team-Based Learning with the Boy Scouts (now Scouting America), both in the US and around the world. He also spent time in Burkina Faso with the Peace Corps and is a graduate of Virginia Tech. He's on this podcast to talk about his experiences using TBL with Scouting leaders and executives.

Dr. Timothy Franz is a Professor of Psychology at St. John Fisher University in Rochester, New York. Initially a TBL skeptic, Dr. Franz described how he became interested in using Team-Based Learning in his classes, and how now he incorporates TBL in most of his graduate and undergraduate classes.

In this episode of the TBLC podcast, Dr. Rebecca Andrews-Dickert describes the process of achieving the Team-Based Learning Practitioner Certification. Dr. Andrews-Dickert is an Emergency Room Physician and Assistant Professor in the Department of Physiology and Pharmacology at Sam Houston State University in Conroe, Texas.

Dr. Simon Tweddell is professor and certified Team-Based Learning Consultant, based at the University of Bradford in the UK. In this conversation, he discusses how he has been involved in the TBLC even thought he is based across the pond from most of his colleagues. Professor Tweddell describes how his team has developed a pharmacy curriculum teaching 100% through Team-Based Learning. The discussion also includes the activities of the European TBL Community.

Rachel Wood is an educational consultant, an author, and a doctoral student at the University of Bradford, UK. She was the lead speaker in a workshop at the TBLC Annual Conference describing how Team-Based Learning can be used in secondary schools.
