Wake Up Sydney brings you the essential Sunday update for 18 October 2026, covering the latest on weather, traffic and trains across Sydney. Today is shaping up to be mild, with possible showers across the city. Expect a top of 22°C in the Sydney CBD and Parramatta, and around 20°C at Bondi. If you’re heading out, keep a light jumper and umbrella handy. On the roads, drivers should allow extra travel time in Roseville, where a crash on Babbage Road southbound near Clive Street has closed one lane. There are also delays in Pennant Hills, with a broken-down semi-trailer on Pennant Hills Road southbound near Beecroft Road closing a lane. Emergency crews and tow trucks are attending both incidents. For public transport, planned Sunday maintenance is affecting several train lines. Blue Mountains Line services are running only between Blue Mountains stations and Blacktown. T1 Western Line trains are operating to a changed timetable between Penrith or Richmond and Parramatta, with buses replacing trains between Parramatta and Lidcombe, and between Parramatta and Cabramatta. Leppington services and Bankstown Line trains are also running to changed timetables and stopping patterns. Sydney Metro is running clear. As always, check Transport NSW before you travel and allow extra time for your journey.
