Sweet Tea & Side Eye is where Southern charm meets queer chaos. Pull up a chair and pour yourself a glass as we talk life, relationships, family, travel, pop culture, and the stories that probably should’ve stayed between friends—but definitely won’t. We’re serving up plenty of laughs, a little unsolicited advice, and just the right amount of side eye. And when it’s time for The Queer Agenda, we dive into the politics, headlines, and issues affecting our community—with opinions, humor, and absolutely no pretending we have it all figured out. The tea is sweet. The opinions are strong. And nothing is off the table. Welcome to Sweet Tea & Side Eye.Copyright 2026 Sweet Tea and Side Eye Relazioni Scienze sociali
  • Limp Wrists & Loose Assumptions

“Light in the loafers.” “Limp wrist.” “He’s got a little sugar in his tank.”

This week on Sweet Tea & Side Eye, we’re talking about the queer stereotypes we heard growing up—and the ones people are somehow still saying out loud. Are any of them true? Where did they come from? And why did everybody’s aunt think she could tell a boy was gay because he liked to dance?

Listen, maybe I am light in my loafers with a limp wrist. That just means I can wave goodbye with flair while I walk away from your nonsense. ????

Come laugh with Josh and Dustin as we sort through the stereotypes, call out the ridiculous ones, and admit which ones might have us feeling a little too seen. ????????

  • 25 Years Later: Queer Courage on 9/11
    Sep 15 2026

Twenty-five years later, we’re looking back at September 11, 2001—the moment we first heard the news, what we remember most, and how that day forever changed the way we saw the world.

In this episode, we reflect on the fear, grief, confusion, and overwhelming sense of unity that followed 9/11. We talk about how much America has changed over the past 25 years—and the difficult reality that some things have remained exactly the same.

We also honor the queer heroes who stepped forward that day and in the weeks that followed—people whose courage is part of the American story, even when their identities have been overlooked. Their stories remind us that bravery has no political party, patriotism has no sexual orientation, and pride in our country does not belong exclusively to the right.

This is a conversation about memory, loss, courage, division, and what it truly means to be an American. Twenty-five years later, we remember where we were, honor every hero, and ask ourselves: Have we become the country we promised one another we would be?
