On Episode 253 of Submaroach, TMT and Mayowa are joined by special guest Abimisola, host of Japa Diaries. The number one podcast about documenting the real experiences of African immigrants navigating life in the diaspora.

This episode serves as a send-off before the boys take a well-earned break, and it’s packed with stories, reflections, and the usual insane humor.

Abimisola shares her personal journey, how her background shaped her perspective, and what led her to create Japa Diaries. The conversation dives into the realities of japa life, identity, relocation, and the emotional and practical sides of starting over abroad.

From there, things get very Submaroach and the boys spiral into conversations about dog names, random thoughts on Adobe (the company), family dynamics, and the surprisingly chaotic topic of not having driver’s licenses.

They also revisit and review the Submaroach live show, sharing behind-the-scenes thoughts and audience reactions, before closing things out by trying (and mostly failing) to convince TMT to finally start enjoying travel.

It’s insightful, funny, slightly unhinged, and the perfect way to cap things off before the break.

Topics include: Japa Diaries podcast, African diaspora stories, immigration experiences, Nigerian podcast, travel conversations, family dynamics, Submaroach live show, comedy podcast Nigeria, relocation stories, lifestyle discussions.

New episode out now.

On Episode 252 of Submaroach, TMT, Koj, and Mayowa return with another chaotic blend of politics, pop culture, and completely unnecessary personal revelations.

The boys kick things off by unpacking Donald Trump’s Easter message to Iran, trying to make sense of the tone, timing, and what it says about global politics in 2025. From there, they dive into the rise of false prophet influencers—the internet personalities blurring the lines between political awareness, performance, and outright manipulation.

Things take a reflective turn as they discuss their favourite actors getting older, what aging means in entertainment, and how audiences struggle to let go of certain eras. That naturally leads into a conversation about President Bola Tinubu’s age, leadership, and how age perception shapes public opinion in Nigeria.

And because it’s Submaroach, the episode somehow also includes a completely unserious but deeply committed discussion about… TMT’s legs.

As always, expect sharp takes, ridiculous tangents, and the kind of conversations that go from global politics to pure nonsense in seconds.

Topics include: Donald Trump, Iran politics, false prophets, influencer culture, aging actors, President Tinubu, Nigerian politics, comedy podcast Nigeria, pop culture debates, Submaroach podcast.
