Somewhere along the way, we became comfortable with a God we were never meant to make common.

He is loving, but He is still HOLY.
He is near, but He is still WORTHY OF REVERENCE.
He calls us friends, but He is still KING.

The fear of God isn’t being afraid of Him—it’s living with such an awareness of who He is that His presence changes how we live.

Street Preachers is live from Nashville as we continue walking through 1 Peter 1:13–14 and wrestle with the heaviness of holiness.

Peter calls believers to prepare their minds, stay sober-minded, and refuse to be shaped by the desires that defined who they used to be. Holiness isn’t just about what we stop doing—it’s about who we’re becoming.

In a culture that tells us to follow every desire, Jesus calls us to a different way. There is a weight that comes with carrying His name, but there is also freedom in becoming more like Him.

Holiness isn’t the burden of following Jesus—it’s the evidence that He’s changing us.

Recorded live in Nashville on the Street Preachers Podcast Tour.

Following Jesus was never promised to be easy—but it was promised to be worth it.

As we continue walking through 1 Peter, this episode is a word of encouragement for anyone navigating pressure, opposition, uncertainty, or weariness. Peter reminds believers scattered in hostile territory that hardship does not mean God has abandoned you, and resistance does not mean you’re on the wrong road.

Stand firm. Keep your heart anchored. Don’t allow what’s happening around you to change what God is doing within you.

You were chosen for this moment, strengthened for this season, and called to keep going.

Street Team, this one is for anybody who needed a reminder: don’t quit in the middle of what God is using to form you.
