In this episode of Stories Are Soul Food, Nate and Brian talk about 3 hot topics in the culture of story today. First, amongst firings and massive unrest at Netflix, Greta Gerwig's Narnia trailer drops. The guys discuss whether this will be a success, a failure, or somewhere in between. Second, Brian's favorite animated director, Brad Bird, just released a trailer for "Ray Gunn" - a futuristic, detective noir murder mystery featuring aliens. Nate and Brian debate the relative merits of The Incredibles, Ratatouille, and The Iron Giant. Finally, Brian shows Nate an insane series doing Harry Potter numbers: Dungeon Crawler Carl. Nate says it's too big to bomb... but that Whoopie Goldberg would have been a MUCH more inclusive choice. Are conservatives overreacting? What kind of redemption must come after? And how are we as Christians supposed to approach these moments in stories or our own lives in light of the resurrection of Christ?
