What if something you have believed about God for years… is not actually in the Bible? What if you heard it from a preacher? A teacher? A podcast? A family member? Or even from me?

In this episode, host Kyle challenges listeners to move away from relying entirely on a secondhand relationship with God's Word. While sermons, podcasts, and devotionals are great tools, they are meant to drive you into the pages of Scripture—not take the Bible's place.

Through this intentional verse-by-verse bible study on testing teachers and anchoring yourself in truth, Kyle explores the famous example of the Bereans in Acts 17:11. We also unpack several highly common phrases from our series, The Bible Never Said That—including misinterpretations of 1 Timothy 6:10 and 1 Corinthians 10:13. If you want a clear old testament and new testament explanation of how to study context, safeguard against false teachings, and spark real spiritual growth, this bible teaching is exactly what you need to read it for yourself.
