Are you ready to make Bible study a priority? Would you love to be more familiar with the stories and passages in scripture? Do you long to connect with God and strengthen your faith?

Friend, you are in the right place. This podcast will help you understand your Bible, apply verses to your life, and become more confident with the who, where, and why in scripture

Hi, I’m Angie. I’m a pastor and Bible teacher. For years, even though I knew God loved me, I still dealt with defeating doubts about my value and purpose. It wasn’t until I began deeply studying the Bible that I experienced a heart transformation that allowed me to recognize the lies of the enemy that kept me stuck in shame and defeat. Studying scripture allowed me to stand firm on God’s promises that offer peace, joy, hope, and rest. I created a Step By Step Bible study method that teaches you to find life application in one word of scripture, and I will share it with you in these episodes.

If you crave a deep dive into scripture…

Bible study tools you can trust…

And a method designed to equip you to study with confidence…

Then, pull up a seat at our table, open your heart, and prepare to hear God speak directly to you.

  • 389 | Seven Deadly Sins: Why Greed Makes Us Feel Unsafe (and How God Teaches Trust)
    Oct 21 2026

Greed isn’t only about wanting more. Sometimes it shows up in how tightly we hold onto what we already have.

We can cling to our money and possessions, but we can also hold tightly to our time, opportunities, comfort, or even good things God has given us. Sometimes we don’t realize how firmly we’re gripping something until God asks us to open our hands and let it go.

In this episode, Angie steps into Colossians 3:5 for a closer look at greed and why Paul connects it with idolatry. We’re reminded that greed can be more than wanting to acquire more; it can also be an unwillingness to release what we have and trust God to provide what we need.

What you’ll hear in this week’s episode

    • Why greed is about more than simply wanting or acquiring more
    • How greed can show up in the things we’re unwilling to release
    • What the original Greek word for “greed” reveals about holding tightly to what we have
    • Why Paul connects greed with idolatry
    • How even good things can become something we cling to more tightly than we cling to God
    • Why opening our hands requires trusting God as our provider

  • 388 | Seven Deadly Sins: Why Gluttony Keeps Us Wanting More (and How God Teaches Deep Satisfaction)
    Oct 14 2026

Gluttony isn’t only about food. It can show up anywhere in our lives where having enough still leaves us reaching for more.

We live in a world that constantly encourages us to consume more, experience more, and surround ourselves with more. But when overindulgence becomes a substitute for the satisfaction only God can provide, we can find ourselves moving farther away from the life He has for us.

In this episode, Angie steps into Proverbs 28:7 for a broader look at gluttony and the ways overindulgence can quietly take hold in our lives. We’re reminded to recognize where we may be lacking restraint, pay attention to what our choices are costing us, and trust God to lead us toward the kind of abundance that truly satisfies.

What you’ll hear in this week’s episode

    • Why gluttony reaches far beyond our relationship with food
    • How overindulgence can reveal places of dissatisfaction in our lives
    • What the original Hebrew word for “glutton” teaches us about excess and treating lightly what matters
    • How a lack of restraint can keep us from fully living as God created us to live
    • Why following God’s direction leads us toward deeper satisfaction and contentment

  • 387 | Seven Deadly Sins: Why Lust Never Feels Satisfied (and How God Leads Us into Contentment)
    Oct 7 2026

Lust isn’t only about sexual temptation. Sometimes it looks like wanting something so deeply that we begin to believe we need it to be satisfied.

We all have things we long for. Maybe it’s a different season, recognition, an answered prayer, or an opportunity we’re waiting for God to provide. The struggle begins when that desire pulls our hearts toward what God isn’t giving us, rather than trusting that He knows what we truly need.

In this episode, Angie steps into 1 John 2:16 for a broader look at lust and the cravings that can quietly compete for our hearts. We’re reminded that lasting contentment isn’t found in chasing after more, but in trusting God’s wisdom, timing, and provision.

What you’ll hear in this week’s episode

    • Why lust reaches far beyond sexual temptation
    • How good desires can become unhealthy when we set our hearts on having them
    • What the original Greek word for “lust” teaches us about longing and craving
    • Why the things we chase in our own strength can never provide lasting satisfaction
    • How self-control and contentment reflect God’s work within us
