  • Your Life Needs a New Playbook
    Oct 8 2026

What happens when the game changes, but you are still running the old plays?

In Week 2 of the ReEntry series, Toni talks about the routines, responsibilities, and expectations we often carry into a new season simply because they are familiar.

She shares what cooking for one taught her after years of cooking for her family and why changing a routine can feel surprisingly emotional when that routine represented connection, identity, or love.

This episode is not about throwing away your old life.

It is about asking whether the way you are living now still fits the life you actually have.

    In this episode:

    • Why familiar routines can linger long after life changes
    • How grief can hide inside ordinary things like dinner, weekends, and holidays
    • Why the question is not just “What needs to change?” but “What did this routine give me?”
    • How to reshape meaningful routines instead of abandoning them
    • Why small changes work better than trying to reinvent your whole life
    • How to plan before loneliness or space catches you off guard
    • Four areas to examine: rhythms, responsibilities, relationships, and recreation
    • The difference between staying busy to avoid your feelings and intentionally building a life you want

    Ask yourself:

Does the way I am currently living fit the woman I am becoming?

Then choose one routine and ask:

What did this routine give me?

What part of it do I still want?

What needs to change for the life I am living now?

    Change one thing.

That is your play this week.

Paid Substack subscribers will receive Rewrite Your Playbook, a short companion designed to help you identify one routine that no longer fits and create one practical replacement.

    No complete life overhaul required.

    One play at a time.

    And yes...

    Buy less chicken.

There is still time left on the clock.

  • Your First Play: Re-Entering Your Life Before You Feel Ready
    Oct 1 2026
Your First Play: Re-Entering Your Life Before You Feel Ready

    You survived Shock.

You worked your way through Limbo.

Now comes the part that can feel surprisingly uncomfortable: living again.

In this week's episode of Start Your Comeback, Toni begins the five-week ReEntry series with a personal look at what her own ReEntry actually looked like after divorce and becoming an empty nester.

It wasn't the day the divorce became final.

It began in a nearly empty apartment filled with hand-me-down furniture and one unexpected realization:

    She wanted to be lighter.

Toni shares what happened when freedom finally arrived, but she wasn't quite sure what to do with it, why staying constantly busy became a way to avoid loneliness, and how she slowly began discovering who she was outside the life she'd known for 25 years.

    You'll hear:

    • Why Reentry is different from simply surviving a transition
    • How busyness can sometimes disguise loneliness
    • Why freedom can initially feel uncomfortable
    • What it means to start participating in your life again
    • Why readiness does not mean fearlessness
    • How to choose one small action instead of trying to reinvent your whole life
    • Why your first play matters more than having the entire game plan

    This Week's Challenge

    Ask yourself:

What is one thing I know I'm ready to try even if I have to do it afraid?

    Then take the play.

Paid subscribers to The Limbo Letters will receive this week's Game Plan Companion, Your First Play.

  • Don’t You Dare Quit Now: A Pause Before ReEntry
    Sep 24 2026

Before we move from Limbo into ReEntry, we are calling a timeout.

In this episode, Toni walks you through a simple three-part reset:

    Reflect. Resource. Regroup.

You’ll take a look at how far you’ve come, identify the people and tools in your Comeback Toolbox, and make space to rest without confusing tired with finished.

Because you did not come this far just to quit here.

    In this episode:

    • Why quiet progress still counts
    • How to recognize how much has changed in you
    • Who and what belongs in your Comeback Toolbox
    • The importance of safe people, healthy practices, boundaries, and truth
    • What God may be teaching you in seasons without a clear map
    • Why rest is not the same thing as quitting
    • Three questions to prepare you for ReEntry

    Your ReEntry Inventory

    Finish these three statements:

    I am leaving behind…

    I am taking with me…

    I am ready to explore…

    Friday’s Companion

Paid Substack subscribers will receive the ReEntry Readiness Guide, a practical companion designed to help you reflect, identify your resources, regroup, and prepare for what comes next.
