Join the Nerdsferatu gang, along with special guest Chris Donat, for their review of Star Trek: First Contact which follows the crew of the USS Enterprise (NCC-1701–E) as they travel back in time to the year 2063. The mission is to stop the Borg, a cybernetic alien species, from preventing humanity's first contact with an alien species, the Vulcans. The crew must not only battle the Borg but also help ensure that Earth’s future remains on track for a peaceful meeting with the Vulcans, which is crucial for the future of the United Federation of Planets.
The film features Captain Jean-Luc Picard dealing with the trauma of his past assimilation by the Borg, and includes plenty of action, suspense, and philosophical themes around technology and human nature.
