  • You Asked....We Answered
    Sep 8 2026

We made it to the season finale! And what better way to wrap up our first season of Somehow Together than by answering questions from you?

In this episode, we’re having an honest, unscripted conversation about faith, friendship, rest, relationships, and what we’re learning in real time. We talk about the spiritual practices that keep us connected to Jesus, what rest actually looks like in different seasons, why making friends as an adult can feel a little like dating, and how ordinary Christians can bring hope into everyday spaces.

We also get vulnerable about trusting God when the future feels uncertain, holding joy and grief in the same story, and learning to be present and “interruptible” to the people around us.

And because it’s the finale, we look back at why we started Somehow Together and dream about where we hope it goes next. At the heart of it all is the same hope we began with: that these conversations help us navigate faith, relationships, growth, and the messiness of being human in ways that leave us healthier, more connected, and a little less alone.

Of course, we couldn’t end the season without one final Somehow Together Question of the Day: What’s the weirdest thing you believed as a child? Imaginary friends, monsters under the bed, watermelon seeds, and swallowed gum all make an appearance.

Thank you for listening, laughing, wrestling, learning, and showing up with us through our first season. We may be taking a little break, but we’re not going anywhere.

Until next season, we’ll keep figuring it out....somehow together!

  • Can't Steal My Joy - Joy That Holds Up
    Aug 25 2026

Joy gets tossed around like a simple decision, but we’ve both lived long enough to know it’s rarely that clean. Miranda and Erica dig into the difference between happiness and joy, why joy can stay present even when circumstances are heavy, and how gratitude turns into a real, lived practice instead of a church catchphrase. We talk about joy as something rooted at a heart level, connected to God’s presence, and strengthened when we learn to hold “this is hard” and “God is still here” at the same time.

We also explore how joy moves through community. Laughter can be contagious, worship can be powerful in a room full of people, and a trusted friend can help steer our thoughts back toward what’s good. But we don’t skip the tension: it can hurt to watch other people feel light when you’re in a dark place, and grief can make you feel guilty for enjoying a moment. We share why a laugh in the middle of loss doesn’t erase love or sadness, and how tiny “alive” moments can carry deep meaning.

From journaling and prayer to worship music, movement, and reaching out to people, we name the rhythms that bring us back when we’re worn down. We talk about putting the phone down to be present, building new friendships when you’re far from your support system, and learning “new wineskins” for new seasons, including rest when rest feels unfamiliar. If you’re craving more connection, stronger spiritual practices, and a more resilient kind of joy, this conversation is for you.

  • Showing Up and Giving Your All
    Aug 11 2026

What does it really mean to show up and give something your all?

In this episode, Erica and Miranda explore wholehearted living—why it's so much more than working hard or staying busy. They talk about what it means to be fully present, authentically yourself, and willing to risk vulnerability in the moments that matter most.

From the joy-filled chaos of Savannah Bananas baseball games to the sacred privilege of sitting with people in grief, they unpack how showing up wholeheartedly transforms both our relationships and our faith. Along the way, they discuss Brené Brown's research on joy, vulnerability, and belonging, why expressing joy can feel surprisingly risky, and how emotional resilience helps us live the abundant life Jesus promises.

They also share personal stories about navigating big life transitions, moving to a new state, finding community, worshiping courageously, and learning to embrace discomfort instead of shrinking back.

Whether you're stepping into something new, struggling to find your place, or simply wondering how to live with more courage and connection, this conversation is an invitation to stop merely fitting in—and start belonging.

    In this episode, we discuss:

    • Why joy is one of the most vulnerable emotions we experience
    • The difference between fitting in and truly belonging
    • How emotional health helps us live wholeheartedly
    • Learning to tolerate discomfort instead of avoiding it
    • Showing up for people in both celebration and suffering
    • Finding courage to be authentically yourself
    • Why play, laughter, and joy are essential for a healthy life

Because a wholehearted life isn't about perfection—it's about courageously showing up, trusting God with the outcome, and discovering that we're never meant to do it alone.

    Somehow, we're always better... together.
