  • You Get 85 Years on a 4.6-Billion-Year-Old Planet
    Aug 25 2026

You get roughly 85 years on a planet that has existed for about 4.6 billion.

So what exactly are we doing panicking about turning 30?

In this episode of So You’re Living in a Simulation, @joli.artist explores the nature of time, aging, mortality, and the astonishingly brief human lifespan when measured against deep time.

The conversation moves through reincarnation, eternity, synchronicity, consciousness, the Dead Internet Theory, AI, the concept of a universal mind, scarcity, and the strange assumptions human beings inherit about age, value, and reality itself.

If we have lived before, why don’t we remember what we were worried about? If consciousness is individual, why does reality sometimes appear to produce clusters of meaningful patterns? If everything else in nature moves through cycles, why are we so certain that human existence happens only once?

And if an 85-year life is barely a flicker against 4.6 billion years of Earth history, perhaps we should be considerably less obedient to arbitrary timelines about what our lives are supposed to look like.

A philosophical wander through time, consciousness, reincarnation, mortality, synchronicity, and the very strange business of being temporarily human.

  • Stop Letting People Control Your Future | On Psychological Sovereignty (Part 1)
    Jul 30 2026

How much of your future is actually yours?

In part one of the Psychological Sovereignty series, I explore one of the most subtle ways people influence our lives: by planting fears, predictions, and imagined futures into our minds until we begin making decisions that were never truly our own.

    I discuss:

    • Why the burden of proof belongs to the person making the claim.

    • How fear quietly redirects your decisions.

    • The danger of living to prove other people wrong.

    • Why protecting your attention is the foundation of psychological sovereignty.

    • How “planted futures” become self-fulfilling prophecies.

    • Why peace, joy, and playfulness are acts of resistance in a world constantly competing for your mind.

The greatest threat to your freedom isn’t always force.

Sometimes it’s simply accepting someone else’s imagination as your own.

This is Part One of a new series on reclaiming the most valuable territory you possess: Your mind.

  • How to Alter the Feed of Your Reality
    Jul 16 2026

What if reality behaves more like a social media feed than a fixed world?

In this episode, Joli explores a simple idea that changed the way she moves through life: algorithms learn from attention, not intention. After stepping away from doomscrolling, outrage, and constant engagement with negativity, she began noticing something unexpected. The more she disengaged from what drained her, the more her experience of reality itself seemed to change.

We explore attention, social media algorithms, emotional engagement, energy, and whether the way we feed our attention might quietly shape the world we experience.

This episode is an invitation to experiment with your own attention and see what changes.
