  • We All Need Grace
    May 11 2026

Tonight on Sip Something Sunday, we’re talking self-care, grace, growth, and what it really means to give people room to be human.

I reflect on why Champagne Sundays became my personal form of healing and intentional self-care, from quiet mornings with my Bible to creating space to simply breathe through life’s heavier moments.

This episode dives into the conversations surrounding the Met Gala, aging, and the unfair scrutiny placed on Black women like Beyoncé and Rihanna for simply existing and evolving naturally. From relationships and double standards to the way we judge young people for mistakes we once made ourselves, this episode is a reminder that growth often comes from messy seasons.

I also share stories from my recent Chicago trip, spotting Karrueche in real life, missing opportunities to be an extra on The Chi (lol), celebrating women entrepreneurs, discussing soft life representation for Black women in media, and reflecting on faith, grief, and navigating another Mother’s Day without Peyton.

Raw, funny, thoughtful, and deeply personal, this episode reminds us all to give ourselves—and each other—a little more grace.

    “Still here. Still sipping.” 🥂✨

  • Crowns, Clowns & Courage
    Apr 27 2026

    Episode Description

This week, I’m talking about everything from crowns to clowns—and the courage it takes to keep showing up anyway.

I start with my experience judging the Miss Tennessee America pageant and why we need to stop underestimating the women in these spaces. These ladies are educated, intentional, and using their platforms to make real impact.

Then… we get into the mess. Relationships, cheating, and why people are way too comfortable celebrating someone else’s heartbreak. Because what are we really doing?

I also talk about love, being needed vs. being chosen, and why some people fumble what’s actually good for them.

On a lighter note, I share updates on my writing—including reworking Here’s the Thing About Grief—and where I am with Filthy Little Rich Girl.

And… I officially introduce my newest venture: Bougie Bubbles – A Sip Something Sunday Experience 🥂 A small-batch mixer line made to elevate your champagne, prosecco, or sparkling water.

  • All The Things, Chile
    Apr 14 2026

I’m back for a solo sip… and chile, life has been lifing.

After a stretch of work pressure, holiday chaos, and just real-life situations, I had to take a step back, regroup, and protect my peace.

In this episode, I’m pouring up and getting into it. I talk about the weight of leadership, what it feels like to show up when you’re tired, and still be expected to have it all together. I also get into pop culture, accountability, and how we show up for each other… or don’t.

I talk about identity, Blackness, and giving people the space to have their own experiences. This one is honest, reflective, and just a little spicy.

Because the truth is, you can feel everything, say what needs to be said, and still choose peace at the end of the day.

So go ahead, pour something good. I had me a lil Aperol Spritz 😉

Let’s have a lil real talk, a little pressure, a lot of perspective… and always bougie. 🥂✨

  • Rhythm & Country: The Sound of Healing
    Mar 23 2026

Tonight on Sip Something Sunday, I’m sitting down with Bubba James for a real conversation about music, grief, growth, fatherhood, and finding your lane without apology.

We talk about his journey from football player to artist, how his sound evolved into what he calls “rhythm and country,” and why his music refuses to fit neatly into anybody else’s box. Bubba opens up about writing from real life, the influence of growing up in the 910, the pain of losing his mother, navigating a distant relationship with his father, and how becoming a dad has changed him in ways he never expected.

This episode is honest, heartfelt, funny, and deeply personal. We talk about the stories behind the music, the healing that comes through songwriting, the reality of performing for mixed crowds who connect through truth, and why authenticity will always hit harder than a gimmick.

If you’ve ever had to create your own path, carry grief while still chasing purpose, or believe in something bigger for yourself even before the world catches on, this conversation is for you.

Tune in for a powerful conversation with Bubba James about rhythm, country, creativity, family, faith, and the road ahead.

  • Haikus and Grooves
    Mar 15 2026

This week on Sip Something Sunday, I chat with longtime friend Samone Bland for a candid conversation that moves between music, creativity, grief, culture, and personal growth.

We reflect on nearly two decades of friendship while discussing Samone’s journey back to writing and her upcoming poetry collection “Miss Samone Sings the Blues,” inspired by her love for music. Samone shares her love for haikus, poetry, and storytelling, while also opening up about the discipline and self-confidence it takes to bring creative projects to life.

As lifelong music lovers, we dive deep into the evolution of music, from the influence of legends like Janet Jackson, New Edition, Lauryn Hill, and Stevie Wonder to the way social media and streaming have changed how audiences consume music today. We explore how earlier generations of artists shaped the culture and why authenticity and artistry still matter.

We also touch on deeper topics including grief, personal healing, the pressures placed on Black women in professional spaces, and the importance of learning how to show up for yourself; even when the world doesn’t always show up for you.

Through laughter, honesty, and thoughtful reflection, we remind listeners and ourselves that growth, creativity, and authenticity often come from stepping outside of your comfort zone and trusting your voice.

  • Grief, Peace & Trolls
    Mar 2 2026

    This week feels tender.

Grief has a way of reshaping us.

Narratives have a way of distorting truth.

    Ego can be loud.

    Peace is usually quiet.

In this episode of Sip Something Sunday, I’m reflecting on what it means to choose understanding over assumption… truth over noise… and accountability over comfort.

We also touch on the BAFTA controversy — not for outrage, but for clarity.

Sometimes the real growth isn’t in being right.

    It’s in being honest.

    Pour something gentle.

    Take a breath.

    Press play. 🥂✨
