Tamla Horsford was a 40-year-old mother of five who died on November 4, 2018, after attending an adults-only overnight party at a home in Cumming, Georgia. She was found dead in the backyard beneath a second-story deck, approximately 14 feet above the ground. Investigators determined that her injuries were consistent with a fall, and toxicology found alcohol and other substances in her system. The Forsyth County Sheriff’s Office and later the Georgia Bureau of Investigation investigated the death, but neither found evidence of an assault or enough evidence to support criminal charges. The GBI ultimately agreed that her death was accidental. But questions remain. Tamla’s family and friends have continued to question the official explanation, pointing to her extensive injuries, inconsistencies surrounding the night, and concerns about how the original investigation was handled. Murder or Accident? Official ruling: Accident. But was it really? That's the question that continues to surround Tamla Horsford's death.
