On this episode of the Shirt Factory Center Stage, lead vocalist and guitarist, Shawn Gallagher, is joined by the band’s fiddle player, Mike Furjanic. They share the difference between the violin and the fiddle, their secret to staying together as long as they have, and what they’re up to when they aren’t making music together. While the band ramps up their Irish roots for March, they come from “a bunch of different musical traditions,” and can’t be “distilled” into a single Irish sound. Eli and his band, New Suede will take to the The Lititz Shirt Factory stage Friday, February 25th with their blend of rock, funk, and blues. New Suede formed on “a wing and a prayer” after Eli’s move to the Nashville area. He is joined by his father, and band manager, J.P. Perron.
