Jason is a software developer by day, a lifelong musician, a big fan of podcasts, and the producer of this show. He shares his first-hand account of the evolution of the Lancaster music scene from the late 90s on.     Jim and Kim chat with two members of the Lancaster “kick-ass” Irish band, Salt Hill, fresh off of their incredible St. Patricks Day Performance at the Lititz Shirt Factory. On this episode of the Shirt Factory Center Stage, lead vocalist and guitarist, Shawn Gallagher, is joined by the band’s fiddle player, Mike Furjanic. They share the difference between the violin and the fiddle, their secret to staying together as long as they have, and what they’re up to when they aren’t making music together. While the band ramps up their Irish roots for March, they come from “a bunch of different musical traditions,” and can’t be “distilled” into a single Irish sound. Tune in to hear what makes them so unique.

    Jim and Kim sit down with Eli Perron, guitarist and Manheim native, on this episode of the Shirt Factory Center Stage. Eli and his band, New Suede will take to the The Lititz Shirt Factory stage Friday, February 25th with their blend of rock, funk, and blues. New Suede formed on “a wing and a prayer” after Eli’s move to the Nashville area. He is joined by his father, and band manager, J.P. Perron. Stay tuned till the end for a special sneak peek of what you can expect from New Suede’s upcoming performance. Eli plays the title track from the band’s new album, Lonesome Road.
