The exact same thing happened in 2020, the last time there was a CBA negotiation in the WNBA. 1.2 million viewers tuned into the NWSL championship, an increase of 22% over last year. Spain defeats Germany to capture the Nations League, but suffer a huge blow when superstar midfielder Aitana Bonmati breaks her leg in training. Canada’s Women’s National Soccer Team is on a five-game losing streak and haven’t scored a goal in any of those losses, their worst run of play since 2005.
