"She: A History of Adventure" is a novel by H. Rider Haggard, published in 1887. It tells the story of Horace Holly, a scholarly man who is entrusted with the care of his young ward, Leo Vincey. Upon the death of his father, Leo is given a mysterious amulet and told that he is the reincarnation of an ancient Egyptian named Kallikrates, who was cursed to roam the earth for eternity.
