As the Group sleeps, some learn more about themselves and others about where they are. Morning brings sites of thousands heading through the city to the site of the ritual.

As the group makes their way through the catacombs,

Cordilia seems to be acting odd and even stops the group from bring decimated by some traps. Almost going into automated response she finds the way into the Hidden safe house.

Heading deeper into the city, en route to Alta’s secret passage to the inner city, We came across a bridge blocked by an assortment of Husk zombies and delirium-infused Wights. All was going to plan, a proper Chester fuelled blood bath, until an explosion shattered the bridge and alerted a more significant threat. An amethyst dragon flying from castle Drakken, “I didn’t even know we had those!” With a renewed sense of “we-need-to-fucking-go” the party made into sewers just in time to see the dragon and the final baddie began duking it out. As we scrambled into the sewers tragedy stuck Alta and Cordelia, and a literal boulder! They landed with crunch. While the we were able to resuscitate Cordelia, a magic malady prevented us from returning Alta to the world of the living. As it would happen mr tall brooding and competent was some sort of revenant animated by magic and his death was a final one. Can’t really blame Cordelia for being bent outta shape by the whole ordeal. They appeared to be kindred spirits….painfully hard to come by in this era it would seem.

Alta: This odd group rescued me from the Ratlings. The two girls seem oddly distracted and the goblin guys is just weird. After seeing what they can do and with time running out, I feel like I should trust them with the danger that is coming.

I just hope if I can reach out to them they will agree to stop the massacre that is coming to Drakkenheim.

Everything started out fine. I had the rat king and was running! I caught up to Spider Druid and Jimmy! Then behind me Cheddar started killing the praying ratlings! Dol Goblin joined in and killed all the rest! So much blood! I can’t remember how the Rat King died. Cheddar was wearing his crown for a long time. We rescued Petunia, or whatever her name was, and some older guy from cages. He was badly hurt, and kinda hot. Then we had to run away from a stampede of ratlings! We did not accomplish our mission and need to go back later. Polly, or whatever her name is, took us to the red lanterns camp. D was around too…. I think she likes the new old guy too! We ate and I bought new robes that aren’t from the Academy. No one seems to like the Academy. I haven’t figured out why not.

After removing the life of the juggernaut monster from them, we were greeted by a guy from the Hooded Lanterns. He sent us on a side quest to save his sister from the Ratlings at the pub called the Rat’s Nest (lazy writing for that pub name). After a thorough search of the area (and some prestidigitation from Valeria), we went to the Rat’s Nest. Jimothy stumbled upon a sewer grate that half of us used to sneak in the back way to the rat lair while the other 2 went through the front door. They stole some idols’ eyeballs, I (Chester) set some traps, killed some Ratlings, and I successfully killed a Ratling by using another live Ratling as a weapon! Valeria altered herself to look like a giant Ratling and successfully kidnapped the Ratling prince without him knowing he was being kidnapped. It was hilarious! That guy’s gonna die, and I can’t wait to use his head as another puppet. It’s becoming fun! We think we’re on the right track, but if only I can figure out which way is north! Anyone have a compass?

So we find ourselves atop buildings on the outskirts of Drakkenheim. Everyone (including the new guy) has excellent ranged attacks and I decided to gather large stones to cast down upon these shambling zombies that are just gross. Still not sure about him. It’s the shirt’s thumb holes that weird me out. But anyhow. We were atop a wall and when Verlin summons a wolf to corral the husks, apparently it awoke a monstrous thing that wanted to kill us. After easily killing the husks, we prepared for the “giant” that was heading our way. While establishing an assault position, D apparently thought she could jump farther than expected and almost landed on a bridge, except she landed face first on the side of the bridge. Thankfully, the team used their individual skills and we dispatched the juggernaut monster in short order and provided D with some makeup concealer.

What a crazy day yesterday!!! After a busy day of shopping and making potions some little magic goblin fell through our roof! I wrote down in my journal that his name is Dol'Drata. I am not sure how to remember that!!! He seems ok. Something is off about his story, but as a fellow Academy graduate I am sure he is trustworthy. We went to dinner and talked. We walked home and talked. Then we went to bed and didn't talk. Jimothy had the good idea to get up and head into Drakkenheim very early. We walked and Chester collected herbs for more potions. Vurlan had us walk through the scary campsite with all the dead bodies hung along the path. He found a cool magic rock! We stopped at the cabin where Ana and Mel took us before. Then finally we ended the session just as we were trying to get to a destroyed tavern just inside the city. Dol and I made an excellent plan for distracting, and maybe even destroying, the millions of husk zombies. Cordelia, Chester, Jimothy and Vurlan are all ready with their parts of the plan too. I have a good feeling about it!!
