Serving is a privilege but can also have risks.
Two things to consider:
- not have any expectations of receiving in return for the service.
- the service of others should provoke our recognition.
Christians (followers of Christ) should be the greatest servants and service is a sign that they are Christian believers.
And someone could tell me that I am opening the door to harsh criticism from those who do not call themselves believers? I am taking the risk, because in any case my greatest pain has come from those who call themselves believers! :-( So, I gladly accept that you can evaluate my faith by my service, and if I do not meet your expectations, sorry, I will try to do better, give me a chance! ;-)
