Dear Selfless Esteem,
I'm in my 60s with a wonderful wife, a fulfilling career, and more than enough to live comfortably. Yet when I learn someone else has more money or greater success, I feel envious. I recently learned that a colleague earns 3 times my salary! I know comparison steals joy, but I can't seem to stop. How do I become genuinely content and happy for others instead of looking over the fence?

Dear Selfless Esteem,
I've been getting noticed as a baseball player by coaches and scouts, which is what I've always wanted. But it's also a bad thing because lately I've been playing terrible and of course I don't want them to see that. It's like I forgot how to hit a ball even though I've been playing since I was in Little League so I know it's all in my head. What can I do?
