My friend Krista Swisher and I met through Humans on the Verge, a personal development group, both of us seekers of self-expression and a sense of agency in a world hellbent on keeping us quiet and complacent.

I admire her greatly for picking up her paintbrushes (and other implements of pigment application) and claiming her rightful moniker as an artist in the world - and I love even more that her work is recognized as gallery-worthy.

The holidays (and other times when presents are exchanged) are a fabulous time to consider the one-of-a-kind, personal gift of art; Krista even offers commissions as an option if you’ve got something specific in mind.

Erika was the perfect choice for that role, because she’s a natural conversationalist who brings warmth and curiosity to a conversation.

On the other side of the microphone in this episode, Erika discusses her journey of self discovery and finally listening to her own innate wisdom to lead the way to a sense of freedom and fulfillment - even through challenges.
