SHOW DESCRIPTION

From Bible college to the mission field, law enforcement, and back to the classroom, Josiah Hart’s story is a masterclass in calling that never quits. If you’ve ever wondered how God uses unexpected turns to shape ministry, this conversation will strengthen your faith and sharpen your next step.Pilgrim sits down with Josiah Hart, a CCBC alum, pastor at Westchurch, instructor at Calvary Chapel Bible College, and law enforcement officer, to trace the winding path that led him from a teenager sensing a call to missions into decades of serving in wildly different contexts. Along the way, Josiah shares how Bible college formed his spiritual foundation, how a verse from Psalm 37:4 shaped his relationship with Anya, and why his time at the Austria campus in “the castle” became one of the most formative seasons of his life. You’ll discover:

• Why Josiah says the greatest thing Bible college gave him was not just knowledge, but a real rhythm of quiet time with the Lord
• What it was like learning servant leadership by watching Pastor Chuck model it on campus
• How marriage, Germany, Montana, Colorado, Florida, and law enforcement all fit into one story of God’s steady guidance
• Why Psalm 32:8 became a life verse and how he’s watched God confirm direction again and again
• What teaching the Life of David reveals about failure, faithfulness, and becoming a man after God’s own heart

Josiah also explains how serving as an assistant pastor taught him to carry load, lift arms, and fill whatever gap the church needs, and why he believes Bible college should never end with information alone. If you’re a student, a pastor, or someone trying to figure out what God is doing in the middle of change, this episode will meet you right where you are.

Perfect for current CCBC students, alumni, ministry leaders, and anyone looking for encouragement that God still guides, calls, and equips ordinary people for extraordinary faithfulness.
