The guitars are thicker and Ozzy’s voice is higher. It’s a whole new vibe and they keep soaring for a bit more before they would start to fall. Bill Ward gets some major props from the boys. Sure he looks like a homeless guy, but he plays like a Swiss watch. And we suspect this is the point where Ozzy realizes his star might be starting to eclipse the other band members.
John finally tells the story how he and Snyder had their Floyd/Wizard of Oz moment with a track off of this classic Sabbath disc and we look ahead to three remaining records in the Sabbath oeuvre.
