In 1944 Chicago, a hard-bitten newspaper reporter investigates a classified ad offering a $5,000 reward for information about an old police murder. Placed by the mother of a man imprisoned for the crime, the ad leads the reporter back through an eleven-year-old conviction, its witnesses, and the system that put the case to rest. William Conrad, Stacy Harris, Peggy Webber, and Paul Frees are also featured.
Old Time Radio Classics presents the original broadcast with a newly produced contextual introduction, a short closing announcement, and gently cleaned/mastered audio for a more consistent listening experience.
