A proposito di questo titolo

A five-year-old finds her parents shot dead in their bed. Her teenage sister calls 911. For the next five months, that teenager — Sarah Grace Patrick — posts crying videos on TikTok, messages true crime creators begging for coverage, and tells one of them the story "would be a really big hit." Then police charge her with double murder.

Prosecutors say they've got mountains of evidence. So where is it?

No murder weapon has been confirmed recovered. No motive has been disclosed. The defense says they're weeks from trial and still waiting on full discovery. What's actually been released to the public? Her TikTok posts. Her DMs. A eulogy the sheriff's office called "odd" because she apologized at the end.

Meanwhile, there's a family history nobody's examining closely enough. Court documents show an eleven-year-old Sarah telling police she felt unsafe in her mother's home. Drug allegations against both her mother and stepfather. A 2022 police report where the stepfather accused the mother of trying to run him over with a car — with a child in the backseat. He dropped the charges. They got married a year later.

Sarah's grandfather — the father of the woman who was killed — insists his granddaughter is innocent. The Brock family showed up to the bond hearing terrified, saying they fear for their lives. Friends packed the courtroom wearing "I Stand with Sarah" shirts. The judge denied bond and called the little sister a key witness.

She's six years old. And she may have to testify against her own sister in a murder trial.

Is this a cold-blooded killer who played victim for five months on social media? Or a teenager being convicted in the court of public opinion because adults don't understand how Gen Z grieves? Trial starts January 5th.
