Inspired to tell their story by the staggering lack of resources out there for couples deciding to remain together during transition, Lauren and Mary-Ellen discuss the joys and the difficulties of navigating a cisgender-heterosexual-monogamous world as a queer, polyamorous family. From coming out and starting hormone therapy, to dealing with misgendering and transphobia, your hosts will share their experiences and insights on what it means to love and support each other through their individual and collective journeys. The show also explores topics such as the impact of transition on relationships and dating, the importance of family and community in their transition, the challenges of parenting while trans, the financial and mental health struggles of transition, and the role of communication and vulnerability in their relationship.
