SMU Mustangs silence critics as quarterback Kevin Jennings continues his breakout season, leading the team to a dominant 59-20 win over Cal. Is this the year Jennings cements his legacy as SMU’s best quarterback ever? The conversation focused on Jennings’ remarkable improvement, his near 4-to-1 touchdown-to-interception ratio, and how his leadership has fueled the Mustangs’ playoff push.

A key theme that emerged was defensive coordinator Maurice Crum Jr.’s game-changing halftime adjustments, transforming SMU’s defense into a second-half powerhouse. The discussion explored the tightening ACC race, with SMU, Miami, and Wake Forest emerging as top contenders for the conference title. Can the Mustangs sustain their momentum through a pivotal stretch against Syracuse, Virginia Tech, and Wake Forest — and secure a spot in the ACC Championship Game?
