Next up on the Dallas Famous Podcast is J. Isaiah Evans, the voice and guitar behind J. Isaiah Evans and The Boss Tweed. A Dallas kid who grew up in the church choir, the school band, and the theater, Isaiah spent a decade fronting The 40 Acre Mule before turning an organ trio into one of the loudest rock and roll acts in town.
Their debut album arrived in 2025 to critical acclaim. The Boss Tweed is becoming an easy band to book as a powerhouse opener as well.
We talk about turning down a record deal, the Memphis studio where the songs get made, and the grown up record he’s finishing now. Stick around to hear J. Isaiah sing his song Hat in Hand.
