What an artist should do from getting booked to showtime
⁃ contact the promoter
⁃ Understand the deal. Flat guarantee, flat guarantee + per ticket deal etc
⁃ Get the details, 1 person should speak for the artist.
⁃ Advance the show the week prior to show, send stage plot, rider, make sure they know what equipment your bringing, find out what time sound check is
⁃ Show day, You will be accountable for your crew and turning in tickets
⁃ check in with stage manger, Be on time to soundcheck to get proper soundcheck, get credentials, guest list, set up Merch
⁃ Make sure and thank the venue, meet as many people at the venue you can, and find out who does what
purpose of show is to display your talent, get new fans (and by doing that is putting on the best show possible)
Your goal is not to be the best opener, but to be the best headliner
