This week, baby listeners, we're comparing Leonie Swann's Three Bags Full with The Sheep Detectives, two stories that technically begin the same way—George is dead and his sheep decide to investigate—and then promptly wander into completely different meadows. The Shee p DetectivesWe're talking Mopple vs. Maple, the book's approximately seventeen thousand sheep, a Guinness-drinking alcoholic ram, the big invisible lamb-beaver made of bread, and why a murder mystery probably shouldn't end with, "Surprise! Nobody murdered him."
And for once, there is basically no family argument over the final verdict.
Which honestly feels suspicious.
