The Dung Beatles: Reviewed!
So your boys saw The Dung Beatles live! It’s been quite a year and you have very much made the nice list having tuned in for all manner of episodes, whether they be regular or special. So your stocking stuffer this year … is as much a surprise to you (the receivers) as it is to us (the givers)! A review show of one of the premier Beatles tribute bands in the UK: The Dung Beatles. Follow along with the episode and see the set list below; one Christmas cracker to whoever can tell us where exactly in the sequence of songs played Happy Xmas (War Is Over) by John Lennon fitted in. With one missing song for you the dear listener to step up and help us out with, the set list was captured perfectly and performed beautifully too. The CCCAH Surprise Christmas show is here. If you want it.
The Dung Beatles’ gorgeous little website can be found here: https://www.thedungbeatles.co.uk/
Are we all getting tickets to the Revolver anniversary show in October? Of course we are and see you there. In fact, see you in the group chat we’ll obviously make a week or two before the thing: https://www.atgtickets.com/shows/the-dung-beatles-60th-anniversary-of-revolver/aylesbury-waterside-theatre/
Here are all the other gigs taking place at the Waterside Theatre in Aylesbury. Which is your fave? I like the look of The Divine Comedy to be honest. Maybe some theatre. Maybe Marillion if they weren’t so damn expensive: https://www.atgtickets.com/venues/aylesbury-waterside-theatre/
As discussed, even at Watersmeet in Rickmansworth, the amount of tribute bands on the docket is a veritable future-fomos list of acts to behold: https://www.watersmeet.co.uk/live-shows
Here is the BBC talking about which bands began as tribute bands and cover bands: https://www.bbc.co.uk/programmes/articles/38rJrt2ZVRlXCzXCZbBGTlH/ten-huge-bands-who-started-out-as-tribute-or-covers-acts
