Rules are often viewed through the lens of restriction. We hear instruction and immediately think limitation, control, or confinement. But what if we have misunderstood the heart behind God’s commands from the very beginning?
On today’s episode of the Zoe Life Podcast, Rules / Liberty III: God’s True Instruction, we continue tracing this conversation through Genesis, moving deeper into the story of Noah and the state of humanity after the fall. As the world became increasingly corrupted by violence and evil, we begin to see something important about God’s nature. His instructions were never careless demands. They came from a place of preservation, relationship, and a desire for humanity not to destroy itself.
Through Noah, we see the difference between a heart that continually resisted God and one that chose to walk closely with Him. We reflect on what covenant really means, why God gives instruction in the first place, and how easily we misunderstand His guidance as punishment rather than protection.
I hope you found truth in this
