'Religious but not Righteous'
Two dangers for the devout person:
- You boast in the law, but dishonour God (2:17-24)
- You have the outward sign, but not the inward change (2:25-29)
Is there any advantage?
- It is better to know God’s word (3:1-2)
- but it’s not a guarantee of faithfulness (3:3-8)
