Adam and Holly welcome Greg Fisher, principal of The Lamb of God School in Halethorpe, Maryland, to talk about education as an instrument of hope. Drawing on a quote from Pope Benedict XVI, they explore how the school's interdenominational Christian community, which is built on prayer, Scripture, and love, forms students' hearts, not just their minds, and helps families ground their children's hope in Christ rather than the world.

In this powerful second part of the conversation, Fr. Hough shares his deeply personal story of being falsely accused and removed from ministry for four years. He reveals the profound encounters with Christ during his darkest moments. Fr. Hough discusses the grace found in forgiveness, the importance of making the next right choice even when hope feels distant, and how his mother's simple response—"I've ordered dessert, so let's have that"—mirrored Mary's quiet faithfulness. A testimony to hope in the midst of unbearable suffering and God's ultimate vindication.

In the first of a two-part interview, Holly talks with Fr. Hough of Grand Coteau Retreats in Louisiana about the Jesuit retreat ministry, the power of silent retreats, and what it means to be a pilgrim of hope in today's world. Fr. Hough shares insights on finding consolation in daily life, the importance of sacred beauty in worship, and offers a powerful reminder to "fast from the future" when anxiety tries to steal our hope. They discuss the 200-year history of this holy place, the miracle of St. John Berchmans, and how setting aside time for silence and prayer can transform our relationship with God.

Adam, Holly, and Javier kick off the new season of Redeemer Catholic Podcast, which Adam has lovingly and very originally entitled "A New Hope". Recorded during Pope Francis's 2025 Jubilee Year of Hope, this season features conversations with a diverse range of guests — a Lutheran pastor championing Christian unity by 2033, a Jesuit retreat director, a grieving mother who lost a child to cancer, a school principal, and a candid roundtable on friendship and community. Together, the episodes explore hope as a hard-won virtue sustained through suffering, relationship, and faith.
