The Bride of the Red Lake is a Welsh folklore tale about a farmer who falls in love with a mysterious woman from Llyn Coch on Mount Snowdon. After luring her from the water with an apple, he marries her under one condition—he must never strike her with clay. They live happily until, by accident, he breaks the rule. Heartbroken, she vanishes back into the lake forever. Locals say her spirit still lingers, waiting beneath the rippling water.
