Jesus' love is infinite. He also brings us the truth. Never separate His love from His truth. The Priestly Society of St. Pius X recently published a profession of faith. It includes 154 numbered paragraphs delineating what we, as Catholics, profess and reject. Consider for example its confession regarding the Sacred Heart, Christ the King, Our Blessed Mother, and Holy Mother Church. I urge you to study this document. It will help you learn your faith well, especially in the face of errors now so prevalent among the baptized.

Nothing in our holy religion more clearly reveals the great mystery of the Blessed Trinity than the Blessed Virgin Mary. She has a unique relation to each Divine Person, all Three crown her, and all creatures are subject to Mary because all are subject to Christ the King, her Son. By divine decree, Mary has been directly and intimately associated with the entire work of redemption. To deny or denigrate this association is an attack upon the Blessed Trinity. She made perfect use of all the graces God gave her. By imitating her, we glorify and honor God the Holy Ghost.

Christ ascended that the Father and Son might send the Holy Ghost to animate the mystical Body of Christ, leading the Church to all truth and uniting her in charity. Christ promised not to leave us orphans, and keeps His promise in the Sacraments. He ascended that we might strive every day to reach Heaven and spend eternity with Him. Let us be supremely faithful to the Truth and to practicing charity.

Baptism, Faith, and the Church. These three major themes of Eastertide always go together and can’t be separated. God gives us Faith at Baptism through the Church. To be saved one must believe the Faith preached by the Church and be baptized. There Is a great crisis in the Church today because these three are being separated, especially by members of the hierarchy. He that believeth not shall be condemned. Doctrinal errors rampant today are exposed by a ‘Declaration of Catholic Faith’ recently published by a group of traditional Catholics. Women, look to the example of the Church to see what it means to be a good holy Catholic mother.

The Church presents us with three great Easter themes — Faith, Baptism, Holy Eucharist — and three great Easter professions of Faith. It is very easy to deceive ourselves regarding religion and faith. Anyone who considers himself ‘good’ but does not strive to keep the Faith deceives himself and his faith is in vain. We must be on guard to keep ourselves unspotted from the world, for the world inevitably takes us away from the Faith. A man of faith seeks to grow in faith and act by faith.
