Welcome to the very first episode of Via Antiqua, exploring the crisis we see in modern society.

Is it you, or does something feel off?
You might recognize the creeping despair brought about by our current age; do you sometimes feel isolated, despite constant digital contact? This disconnect is no accident. It is pervasive: society feels increasingly nihilistic and lonely, all brought on by factors that were intended to improve us as a culture!
How did it happen, and what are the consequences? In Episode 1, we explore the steady and seemingly unending march of modern society as it transitioned from deeply connected communities with concrete and established traditions and values to, seemingly, a shell of what held us together for millennia.

In this podcast, we hope to expose some of those factors. And importantly, Via Antiqua is about finding ways out. By re-examining and adopting principles of an older, richer age, humanity has the tools to overcome the ailments brought on by rapid industrialization and the Digital Age.
