An engaging interview with my paternal grandmother, recorded a few days after her 100th birthday.

Do any of you have that friend who you always look forward to talking to, because they always have a fresh perspective on any subject that might come up? Dynamic businesswoman, entrepreneur, and mother of 2, Chimere Faulk is one such friend for me. We can start out talking about how a person who went to school to learn about advertising becomes the creator of her own line of hair products that are sold internationally, and end up talking about how spiritual retreats are a metaphor for needing to poop. Tune in to this latest edition of Real Talk with Creatrix Matrix to see how that happened.

I sat down with Intuitive Spiritual guide, Holistic Doula, and gate keeper Osaranga Solanke to talk about the healing work she does. In her readings, she employs Tarot, oracle, and pendulum as tools to help her clients find clarity on their path towards living authentic lives. She took me through what she does in her readings and we also dove into what her work with psilocybin as a tool for healing and deeper understanding of one's purpose, looks like. We talked about what brought her to this work, and why it's so important. It's a conversation for all to enjoy.

Conversation with doula and Integrative Nutritional Health Coach, Makini Duewa. Discussing the roots of her journey as a healer and what drives her passion to help people realize their goal of what she calls, “Aliveness”.

A deeply engaged conversation with artist and performer Pooja Prema. We spoke about her experience as an immigrant who returned to India in her 20’s to reconnect with the theatrical traditions that have become integral to her work. And also about her latest endeavor, Rites of Passage, an immersive art installation, involving over 60 woman and woman self-identifying artists of color.

In this episode of Real Talk, join me in conversation with actress Theresa Fortune. When we sat down in January of this year and she shared with we me about her childhood growing up in the Bay Area, her marriage at a young age, and how these experiences led to her forming Communion With The Community. This endeavor exists to provide a container for multidisciplinary offerings that invite dialog around many of the issues affecting families and individuals in our increasingly disconnected society.

Khariyyah details how Higher Ground works with kids and teens to engage them in caring for themselves and their community, including partnering with the other national and local organizations. She also explains how the public can get involved.

For this episode, I headed out to the peninsula to talk with a friend. She's a native Chicagoan, now living in the Bay Area, a former High School teacher who followed her dream to become a YA author. We are part of a book group or should I say, eating- and- hanging- out- with- the- girls - while -our- kids- play- Minecraft- in - the -other -room group. But that's beside the point. She published her first book It's Not Like It's A Secret with Harper Teen in May of 2017. So without further adieu, you're invited to eavesdrop on our conversation from late February 2018.
