Survivor stories start where ordinary stories end: after the crash, after the avalanche, after the door locked or the boat went under. What follows is the part few people ever see, the hours and days where a human being decides not to die. This show tells true survivor stories, from the ones who came back.

Each episode reconstructs one survival in full, cinematic detail: the moment everything went wrong, the choices made with freezing hands and failing light, the improvised tools and impossible math of rationing, and the rescue or self-rescue that ended it. No host chatting between clips, no panel debating what they would have done. Just one complete story, narrated start to finish, built from rescue records, expedition logs, and the survivor's own words.

You will climb down mountains with broken legs, drift on rafts counting sharks and days, and wait in collapsed mines while the world above decides whether digging is worth it. Some survivor stories run over weeks of slow endurance; others turn on ninety seconds of pure decision. All of them treat survivors as what they are: proof that the human body quits long after the mind refuses to.

If you are drawn to survivor stories that read like thrillers and land like testimony, this is built for you. New episodes drop regularly. Subscribe now so the next of these survivor stories lands the moment it goes live.Copyright OBOMEDIA ENTERTAINMENT

In this episode, we follow Roberta Gropper’s life from a cigarette factory in Ulm to the halls of the Reichstag, then into arrest and a Soviet camp. We trace the choices, loyalties, and the single sentence she speaks in custody that will haunt her comrades and the movement-what would you do in her place?

    Person: Paul Langner
    Date: Arrest November 1937
    Location: Moscow / Soviet camp
Event: Workers' movement membership, Reichstag deputy 1930-1932

    - She rose through party ranks: treasurer in Stuttgart, leader of women's sections, and Reichstag member at thirty-three.
    - Association with the Neumann-Remmele group cost her Berlin positions in 1932 and became the later basis for her 1937 arrest.
    - On a January morning men in uniform took Paul from their apartment; inside the camp she told another prisoner a sentence that protected the workers’ illusions.
