It’s the turn of the year so we thought it would be a good idea to reflect on a year of rotten movies, and most importantly rank them all from 19 to 1. We start with a wee chat about Hogmanay and our traditions and about the invasion of AI slop on social media before getting down to business and running through all 19, taking a little bit more time to discuss the top 10.

Following that we have some fun segments as we discuss some of our favourite things from the season. There’s also some more feedback, including a musical interlude submitted by listener, friend and all round good guy; Rab. There was Cabbage Patch Kids, Ninja Turtles, Buzz and Woody...but all these pale in comparison to the fictional Turbo Man craze of 1996! Join us as we talk about the time Arnold Schwarzenegger spent his Christmas Eve trying to get the hottest toy in town Jingle All the Way.

Synopsis: Workaholic Howard Langston wants to make things up to his wife and son, promising to get the hottest toy of the season, Turbo-Man for his son’s Christmas - As Langston hunts down the elusive gift on Christmas Eve, he competes with a mail man father on the same quest.

We start with a wee discussion about some favourite Christmas movies, and films that are tangentially Christmassy and The Cheeky Girls…yeah really. We then go into the whole plot of the movie and address the fact that no one likes Booster (maybe because his weird gold pants).

Do you know what? To heck with Christmas, let’s go on a cruise instead…is what Tim Allen and Jamie Lee Curtis say in 2004’s Christmas With The Kranks, and we’re talking about it in great detail for the first of TWO Christmas Specials this month.

Synopsis: When their only daughter Blair leaves the family nest, Luther and Nora Krank (Tim Allen and Jamie Lee Curtis) decide to book an island cruise to beat the yuletide blues and just skip the holidays. But their decision to boycott tradition has the whole neighbourhood in an uproar.

We’ll talk about the film’s scores, go over the whole plot, talk about trivia and more. We’ll also discuss at length perhaps why this movie has a score as low as the measly 5% it had at the time of recording. We’ll also be talking about yellow snowballs and famous hams.
